Hwy. 290 eastbound connector ramp to Loop 610

  • Total closure nightly from 9 p.m.-5 a.m. through the morning of Friday, April 7
  • Drivers can detour to the I-10 west direct connector, U-turn at the Wirt/Chimney Rock exit to I-10 east and enter Loop 610.
  • Beginning 9 p.m., Friday, April 7 through 3 a.m., Monday, April 17, the Hwy. 290 HOV lane will be closed between Hempstead Road and the Northwest Transit Center on Old Katy Road.
  • Inbound HOV drivers in the morning can detour to Hempstead Road, turn right on Hempstead, left on N. Post Oak and left on Old Katy Road to the Northwest Transit Center.
  • Outbound drivers leaving the Northwest Transit Center in the evening detour right onto Old Katy Road, turn left onto the Loop 610 northbound frontage road, continue on the new overpass towards W. 18th St., turn left on W. 18th, left on the Loop 610 southbound frontage road and then U-turn just before Hempstead Road to the HOV lane.

Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road from N. Eldridge Parkway to FM 529

  • One inside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Friday, April 7.

Hwy. 290 westbound frontage road from Security Way to FM 529

  • One outside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Friday, April 7.

Hwy. 290 westbound from Pinemont Drive to Fairbanks North Houston Road

  • One inside lane will be closed Saturday, April 1, from 3 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Hwy. 290 eastbound and westbound frontage road at Beltway 8 West

  • One U-turn lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, March 30, through Friday, April 7.

Hwy. 290 eastbound frontage road at Mason Road

  • One outside lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. until Wednesday, April 5.

Huffmeister Road northbound and southbound under Hwy. 290

  • Total closure from 9 p.m. Friday, March 31, to 5 a.m. Monday, April 3
  • Drivers can detour to the frontage road and U-turn.

Senate Avenue northbound and southbound at Hwy. 290

  • One alternate lane will be closed daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. until Friday, April 7.

Mueschke Road northbound and southbound under Hwy. 290

  • Total closure until 3 p.m. Monday, May 8
  • Drivers can detour to the frontage road and U-turn.

Windfern Road northbound and southbound from Hwy. 290 to W. Little York Road

  • A bridge replacement project will have a portion of Windfern Road closed until 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30.
  • Drivers can detour to Gessner Road.

A look ahead

  • Beginning 9 p.m., Friday, April 7 through 3 a.m., Monday, April 17, the Hwy. 290 HOV lane will be closed between Hempstead Road and the Northwest Transit Center on Old Katy Road.
