1. Hwy. 290 Project D
Crews are working on westbound Hwy. 290 mainlanes west of Cypress Rosehill Road and the frontage road between Barker Cypress and Skinner roads in Cypress. A new eastbound exit ramp to Cypress Rosehill Road is expected to open in February, and the entrance ramp east of Spring Cypress Road will open later this spring. The project is part of an effort by the Texas Department of Transportation to widen Hwy. 290 between Loop 610 and FM 2920.

2. Fairfield Place widening
Harris County Precinct 3 has finished work to widen Fairfield Place from two lanes to a four-lane boulevard from Cumberland Ridge Drive to Schiel Road in Cypress. Construction started Nov. 7, and the widened road opened to drivers Feb. 10.

3. Louetta Road extension
Harris County Precinct 4 has completed work on the extension of Louetta Road as a four-lane concrete boulevard from Blanco Trails Lane to Telge Road in Cypress. Unitas Construction initiated construction on the project Aug. 9 and finished ahead of schedule on Nov. 30. The project also included the installation of a new traffic signal at Louetta and Telge roads.

4. Cypress N. Houston/LouEdd Road improvements
Harris County Precinct 4 has proposed a widening and extension of Cypress N. Houston/LouEdd Road as a four-lane concrete pavement section from Jones Road to FM 1960 in Houston. The project is in the study phase, and a cost estimate will be released after the study phase is concluded.

5. Cypress Rosehill Road widening
Construction started in July on a Harris County Precinct 3 project to widen Cypress Rosehill Road from two to four lanes. The work being done from Lake Cypress Hill Road in Cypress to the Grand Parkway will be ongoing for the next year, according to officials.

6. Grant Road widening
Harris County precincts 3 and 4 are working on two projects that will widen Grant Road between Spring Cypress Road and Lakewood Forest Drive in Cypress. Precinct 3 will widen the road from two to four lanes between Lakewood Forest Drive and Old Kluge Road. Precinct 4 will widen it from Old Kluge to Spring Cypress roads. Precinct 4 awarded a 720-day contract Oct. 11. Construction on the Precinct 3 section will begin in early 2017.

7. Greenhouse Road extension
Harris County Precinct 3 is partnering with developer Caldwell Companies on a project to extend Greenhouse Road north to Mound Road in Cypress as a two-lane concrete half-boulevard. Caldwell has already completed its portion of the project, and Harris County has almost completed a two-lane bridge to connect the road over Cypress Creek. The project should be open to traffic by the end of February.
