Jan. 5-7: Cy-Fair ISD Mens Varsity Soccer Showcase

The event is played in a showcase format with all teams scheduled to play three full-length games. Five CFISD teams—Cy-Fair, Cypress Creek, Cypress Falls, Jersey Village and Langham Creek high schools—compete alongside 15 visiting teams. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. (Thursday), 8 a.m.-10 p.m. (Friday), 8 a.m.-8 p.m. (Saturday). $2 (students), $3 (adults). Jan. 6: Cy-Fair VFD Blood Drive

Cy-Fair VFD, along with the Gulf Cost Regional Blood Center and The Bull 100.3, hosts a blood drive. The Bull will be playing country music, and all donors receive a free T-shirt. 2:30-7 p.m. Free. Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department Station 9, 7922 Hwy. 6 N., Houston.
