Bruce Gingrich and Andria Cain, former franchisees of Corky’s, are partnering with John and Veronica Avila on the project. The Avilas are most known for Henderson & Kane General Store, located in the heart of Houston.
The new eatery’s barbecue menu will feature smoky queso, boudin balls, smoked brisket flautas and the entire sausage lineup from Henderson & Kane General Store. Chef Jesse Gallegos will run the kitchen, and an indoor/outdoor bar will highlight Texas spirits and craft beers, according to a news release.
Officials said Burro & Bull will be open Tuesdays-Sundays from 7 a.m.-9 p.m., and a soft opening is slated for November.
“We’ll be opening at our favorite time of year with holiday menu ready to go and plenty of briskets and turkeys to take home for Thanksgiving and Christmas,” John Avila said in a statement. www.facebook.com/burroandbull
