While other submarkets in the Houston area have seen absorption drop into the negative, Cy-Fair’s net absorption remains positive.

Because of the completion of Noble Energy’s headquarters building on
Hwy. 249 in addition to several smaller buildings, office construction in the area was the highest it has been since 2008.

Three additional buildings with 282,000 square feet of office space are under construction and set to be complete in October. Another nine buildings totaling more than 1 million square feet are planned or proposed.
