According to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the health care and social assistance industry has grown across the Greater Houston region since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Harris County has seen the largest gains with a 9.9% increase from September 2019 to 2021 while Waller and Galveston counties have seen slight decreases in employment.
