Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey is inviting the public to share their voices on how they feel tax dollars should be prioritized and spent at an upcoming budget town hall meeting.

By the numbers

The anticipated fiscal year 2024-25 budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last year's budget by an amount of more than $284 million, which is a 14.2% increase from last year’s budget, according to the county's office of management and budget.

The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is more than $48 million. More details on where funding will be directed in the FY 2024-25 budget can be found on the county's website here.
