The board of directors for the Windfern Forest Utility District has called for a bond election, giving voters the opportunity to vote for or against $40.48 million in capital projects.

According to a district document, The Windfern Forest Utility District—which provides water, sewer, infrastructure and services within 483 acres in the Cy-Fair area—is seeking bond authorization for $40.48 million to fund:

  • Rehabilitation of water plants and water distribution systems

  • White Oak Bayou wastewater treatment plant improvements
  • Supervisory control and data acquisition implementation at water plants
  • Additional projects determined by the board

According to a district document, the last bond authorization was in 1995, and in bond elections between 1976-95, $19.89 million in bond funds was issued to fund capital projects.
