Friday fish fry

The Knights of Columbus at Christ the Redeemer Church host a weekly Friday night fish fry during Lent, selling 1,300-1,600 dinners each week. The event is open to the public, and dine-in and to-go options are available.

The Boardwalk at Towne Lake is hosting its spring break concert series featuring several artists including Vince King Elvis, The Texas Eagles, The Black Friday Project, The Outsiders and Velvet Punch.Auto Swap


Traders Village is holding its annual auto swap meet with hundreds of swap meet dealers on hand with auto parts and accessories as well as classic and antique cars and trucks on display and for sale. There will also be deals on tires, wheels and grills.St. Joseph Altar

The 15th annual event celebrates a Sicilian tradition honoring the Patron Saint of the Sicilians and Universal Church. It features a spaghetti lunch as well as traditional Italian cookies and desserts. Proceeds from the meal benefit local nonprofit Cypress Assistance Ministries.

One-act play contest

Cy-Fair ISD is hosting a UIL one-act play competition in which Texas schools present an 18-40 minute play to be adjudicated by a panel of three judges or a single judge. The contest is open to the public.

Jersey Village High School band mattress fundraiser


The Jersey Village High School band is hosting its second annual mattress fundraiser. Thirty different mattress styles will be on display as well as adjustable power bases, pillows, bed frames and mattress protectors. Mattress delivery is available three to four weeks after the sale.

Cypress Music Fest at The Barn

The 17th annual event features home improvement exhibitors. Attendees will also be able to shop for new and gently used building materials and fixtures in addition to perusing the Harris County Master Gardeners Plant Sale. Food trucks will also be on-site.
