Fields, a 30-year resident of Jersey Village, has a background in the oil and gas industry and told Community Impact Newspaper he wanted a seat on the council to ensure citizens’ voices were heard and to keep City Hall on the north side of Hwy. 290. City Hall is currently slated to move across Hwy. 290 near the Jones Road intersection as part of the 43-acre Village Center development.

Incumbent Drew Wasson and Jennifer McCrea ran unopposed for Place 1 and Place 5, respectively.
