A new child care center serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old recently opened in the Jersey Village area, officials said.

The Learning Experience offers hands-on curriculum that supports intellectual, social and cognitive development. After-school programming is available for school-aged children.

The business is holding a grand opening Sept. 14 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. featuring games, music, entertainment, food, face painting and raffles.
