Three Cy-Fair ISD board candidates have withdrawn from the race just one week after the candidate filing deadline. As of Aug. 24, district officials confirmed Cameron Dickey, Victor Hebert and Caroline Kane have stepped down from the election. Fourteen candidates continue their pursuit for a seat on the board of trustees. See the original list of 17 candidates below.
The last day to register to vote in this election is Oct. 4. The election will be held Nov. 2, after an early voting period from Oct. 18-29.

A total of 17 candidates are competing for a seat on one of three Cy-Fair ISD board of trustees positions this fall, including the three incumbents who have each served on the board for at least 16 years.
The election will be held Nov. 2, after an early voting period from Oct. 18-29. The last day to register to vote in this election is Oct. 4.
A candidate forum will be held at the Berry Center theater, 8877 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress, from 7-9 p.m. on Oct. 12.

- John Ogletree is the senior pastor at First Metropolitan Church and has served on the board since 2004.
- Courtney Spradley works in staffing.
- Xavier Leal is an arborist.
- Grace Horner is a clinical pastoral therapist.
- Todd LeCompte is self-employed.
- Cameron Dickey is the president and CEO of Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union.
- Natalie Blasingame is an assistant superintendent and entrepreneur.
- Don Ryan is the owner of Cy-Fair Insurance Group and was first elected to the CFISD board in 2000.
- Ryan C. Irving Jr. is a senior at the University of Houston.
- Chris Harrison is the president of SAS Facility Management.
- Scott Henry is a sales engineering manager.
- Bob R. Covey is the retired vice president of sales for American Alloy Steel and has served on the board since 2005.
- Victor Hebert is a retired university president.
- Michael V. Perez is an insurance agent.
- Caroline Kane is a small-business owner.
- Lucas Scanlon is a technology business consultant and adjunct professor.
- Craig A. Jacobs is an accountant.
