Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas is seeking volunteers to speak to Cy-Fair ISD middle school students throughout the month of February, according to a press release from the district.

All 18 CFISD middle school campuses will host JA Inspire Day on various dates, replacing the former annual program that was held at the Berry Center.

As a part of the program, eighth graders will learn about different career options in the four endorsement areas students choose from that guide their coursework in high school. The endorsement areas are STEM, business and industry, public service, and fine arts and humanities.

Three to five volunteers are needed each day for each endorsement area. Each volunteer will speak and answer questions about their career for 15-20 minutes for each of the five to six class periods that day, officials said.

Speakers can sign up to present at more than one campus based on availability.
