The public is invited to celebrate Cy-Fair ISD’s first-ever football state championship alongside the Cy-Fair High School Bobcats this Friday, Jan. 12.

A parade will start behind the high school at 2:20 p.m. and a community rally will kick off at 3 p.m. in the stadium, according to district officials.

The Bobcats defeated Waco Midway 51-35 for the Class 6A Division II state title Dec. 23 in front of nearly 24,000 fans in Arlington.

“We’ve been working at it for many, many years and finally got over the hump,” Head Football Coach Ed Pustejovsky said in a statement. “It’s certainly nice to be a state champion.”
