The Cypress Christian School community gathered Thursday, May 4, to celebrate the opening of the new Campus Life Center and Gym at 11123 Cypress North Houston Road, Houston. Executive Director Stephen Novotny said the building caters to the school's mission of providing students an education based on academic excellence and biblical values.

"This building has been a dream of many for decades now," he said. "Before we cut this ribbon to open the building, we will first take time to dedicate this building to God's glory."

Novotny also recognized project partners including general contractors at Brookstone, RWS Architects and financial partner Frost Bank.

Chad Braun served as a leader of the advancing excellence capital campaign, which funded the project. He said shared in excitement with students and faculty who can now use the facility for academic events, chapel services and other extracurricular activities.

"Our goal and our vision was to be able to serve our existing students and our existing families better than we ever have before," he said. "It's with great pleasure that we can stand here this morning knowing that we have accomplished this goal."
