Bantu House has opened its doors, offering diverse African flavors to the Cypress area.

The details

Owner Winny Mbianda said the restaurant is a celebration of culture, community and connection.

The restaurant serves West African cuisine and offers vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Officials from the restaurant said the staple dish is egusi with fufu––egusi is a thick spicy vegetarian soup made with melon seeds and other vegetables, and fufu is a dough made from mashed yams.

Quote of note
