Locally owned Italian restaurant Adriatic Cafe launched a new initiative Thursday, April 16, to feed first responders free meals each day at all three of its locations.

Firefighters, paramedics, EMT and police officers can receive a free meal of their choice from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at 17402 Hwy. 290, Jersey Village; 19004 Windsor Pointe Drive, Tomball; and 19380 I-45 N., Ste. 160, Spring. The special will be ongoing until businesses return to normal operations, according to owner Alban Bulliqi.

Bulliqi said the offer is meant to thank first responders for their work during the coronavirus pandemic. They are asked to arrive in uniform or show badge identification to receive their free meal.
