The project is a partnership with Brinshore Development and the Harris County Housing Authority, and it is located on the same property as First Metropolitan Church. Founding pastors John and Evelyn Ogletree included senior housing in the church’s master plan more than 20 years ago, officials said.
“Our land has been described as the ‘last miracle on the Beltway,’ and this project shows that God is still performing miracles on our property,” Bishop John Ogletree said.
The $43 million project will feature 157 one- and two-bedroom units—85 of which will be dedicated to low-income seniors to help address the county’s affordable housing needs, officials said.
Residents will have opportunities for social and active lifestyles with a club room and activity room, media center, private event suite, fitness center, business center and a pool.
