1. PRAIRIELAND VILLAGE
The Howard Hughes Corp. celebrated the grand opening of master-planned community Bridgeland’s third village, Prairieland Village, in May. More than 200 homes had already been sold by the start of June, officials said, and about 7,000 homes are planned for the village. Model homes are now open for tours.
The village highlights prairie- and meadow-like landscaping, and amenities will include a village park and activity complex; recreational lakes; a lakefront pavilion; canoe and kayak launches; hike and bike trails; birdwatching locations; catch and release fishing; neighborhood parks and playgrounds; and shade pavilions.
Officials announced June 22 plans for Bridgeland’s first build-to-rent neighborhood, Wingspan, in Prairieland Village. The 27-acre community will feature 263 homes built by Arch-Con Corp., and the first residents are slated to move in next summer.

2. DUNHAM POINTE
Dunham Pointe, one of the newest master-planned communities in Cypress, began construction in January on one of the last large parcels of land along the Hwy. 290 corridor, officials said. Bernard Kaplan, media relations professional for the community, said the first model homes are open, and the first residents began to move in this June. About 230 homes are expected to be under construction or completed by December as supply chains allow. At this time, about 1,000 total homes are planned for the community, and build-out is slated for 2026.
In addition to close access to retail and dining, Dunham Pointe touts a centralized amenity center slated for completion by the end of the year—featuring a fitness center, pools, a pavilion, a children’s splash pad and cabanas. A 146-acre Cy-Fair ISD educational village is also planned for the community.

3. NORTHSHORE
A new section of 79 townhomes and duets called Northshore is coming soon to the Towne Lake master-planned community in Cypress, officials said in an April 18 news release. Model homes are expected to open this fall.
Highland Homes will develop 37 townhomes featuring spacious family rooms, double-vanity bathrooms, flex spaces for crafting or office use, outdoor patio spaces and two-car garages, officials said.
The Beazer Homes collection of duets, or attached single-family homes which are sold as separate units, will add 42 modern farmhouse-style homesites with eight floor plan options featuring two to four bedrooms and two to three full bathrooms. Two-car garages, covered patios, built-in mudrooms, upstairs loft space and lawn service are also standard for each of these homes, according to the news release.

4. AVALON AT CYPRESS
Taylor Morrison announced May 18 the groundbreaking of Avalon at Cypress, a new master-planned community spanning over 480 acres near the Grand Parkway and West Road.
Homes in the community will have starting prices in the $400,000s and will range in size from 2,200-4,200 square feet, according to a news release. Avalon at Cypress will feature amenities such as a recreation center; a pool; a playground; an event lawn; a fire pit; tennis, basketball and pickleball courts; walking trails; and a butterfly garden.
According to the release, the location of the development was selected due to its proximity to the Grand Parkway and access to employment centers, shopping, dining and entertainment options as well as being located within Cy-Fair ISD’s boundaries.
