Here is the latest news from four of the Cypress area's most active residential developers.

The Howard Hughes Corp. celebrated the grand opening of master-planned community Bridgeland’s third village, Prairieland Village, in May. More than 200 homes had already been sold by the start of June, officials said, and about 7,000 homes are planned for the village. Model homes are now open for tours.

The village highlights prairie- and meadow-like landscaping, and amenities will include a village park and activity complex; recreational lakes; a lakefront pavilion; canoe and kayak launches; hike and bike trails; birdwatching locations; catch and release fishing; neighborhood parks and playgrounds; and shade pavilions.

Officials announced June 22 plans for Bridgeland’s first build-to-rent neighborhood, Wingspan, in Prairieland Village. The 27-acre community will feature 263 homes built by Arch-Con Corp., and the first residents are slated to move in next summer.

Dunham Pointe, one of the newest master-planned communities in Cypress, began construction in January on one of the last large parcels of land along the Hwy. 290 corridor, officials said. Bernard Kaplan, media relations professional for the community, said the first model homes are open, and the first residents began to move in this June. About 230 homes are expected to be under construction or completed by December as supply chains allow. At this time, about 1,000 total homes are planned for the community, and build-out is slated for 2026.

In addition to close access to retail and dining, Dunham Pointe touts a centralized amenity center slated for completion by the end of the year—featuring a fitness center, pools, a pavilion, a children’s splash pad and cabanas. A 146-acre Cy-Fair ISD educational village is also planned for the community.
