Taylor Morrison announced May 18 the groundbreaking of Avalon at Cypress, a new master-planned community spanning over 480 acres near the Grand Parkway and West Road.
Homes in the community will have starting prices in the $400,000s and will range in size from 2,200-4,200 square feet, according to a news release. Avalon at Cypress will feature amenities, such as a recreation center; a pool; a playground; an event lawn; a fire pit; tennis, basketball and pickleball courts; walking trails; and a butterfly garden.
According to the release, the location of the development was selected due to its proximity to the Grand Parkway and access to employment centers, shopping, dining and entertainment options as well as being located within Cy-Fair ISD's boundaries.
There are nine other Avalon communities in the Houston region.
“Avalon at Cypress is in the best location and offers the best schools in the FM 529 submarket,” said Todd Rasmussen, Taylor Morrison’s Houston Division president, in a statement. “The reputation of Avalon is unmatched, and the brand is known for its ambience, exclusivity and prestige. The approach we take with all of our Avalon communities is to ensure a high level of architectural character and design, which gives it a strong, cohesive sense of community.”
Construction on model homes and presales for the first phase of Avalon at Cypress are happening now, with model homes slated to open in late June. For more information about Avalon at Cypress and Taylor Morrison, visit its website.
