Construction began in July on a new mixed-use project called Telge Crossing that will be located on 24 acres at the southwest corner of Telge and Jarvis roads in Cypress.

The project, which is being developed by the Houston-based commercial real estate firm i3, will include 15,000 square feet of retail space, 12,000 square feet of medical office space, several pad sites and a 303-unit Class A multifamily component called The Hudson at Telge Crossing.

In a press release, officials with i3 said they are receiving strong interest in the project from potential tenants.

“Cypress is a suburb that has great demographics, highly rated schools and continues to see job and population growth," i3's Senior Vice President Matt Maglothin said in the release. "The mixed-use component of our development only enhances our site, with the commercial serving as an gathering place for both our residents and the community.”

A spokesperson with i3 said via email that the retail and medical office components of the project are slated for delivery in early 2020, while the multifamily component will deliver next summer.

EDGE Realty will handle leasing for the retail building, and Transwestern will lease the medical office building, according to the release. Domain Builders is the general contractor, W Partnership is the architect, and Kathy Andrews Interiors is the interior design architect on the multifamily project.
