Caldwell Companies officials celebrate the completion of the lake at Towne Lake.
Officials with Caldwell Companies recently celebrated the completion of the final section of its lake at the Towne Lake master-planned community in Cypress. The 300-acre body of water with 14 miles of shoreline is the largest private man-made lake in the Houston area.
Construction of the lake commenced in 2006, and the final 25 acres opened to residents this June at 10855 Towne Lake Parkway, Cypress. Towne Lake residents can take advantage of boating, kayaking, paddle boarding and visiting the community’s private island.
Towne Lake is located along Barker Cypress and Greenhouse roads in Cypress and will feature roughly 3,000 homes at build-out. Home construction is underway on several new sections north of Cypress N. Houston Road, officials said, including lakefront property in a new section called Marina Bay.
