Beazer Homes and Perry Homes will be building approximately 1,000 new homes as a part of a new 370-acre Johnson Development community located just north of the Grand Parkway and east of Mueschke Road. The first homes are expected to be available by fall 2019.

Officials said 60-, 50- and 45-foot sites will be available in the currently unnamed community.

The property was purchased from Moon Dream Unlimited. Michael Cox, senior vice president for Johnson Development and president of Johnson Development Services, handled the transaction for both parties and will oversee development of the property.

“This is a beautiful property in a prime location,” Cox said. “It has been used as a working ranch for Arabian horses and was also a magnificent entertainment venue for the previous owners.”

An existing 7,000-square-foot event center will be transformed into a recreation center for residents, including upper and lower deck pools, pergolas with lounge chairs and a walkway to bocce ball, horseshoes and a dog park.
