Cypress Springs High School was the campus with the highest number of new cases with nine students reporting positive COVID-19 tests last week.
This brings the district’s total number of cases reported since the start of the 2020-21 school year to 3,857. As of April 26, CFISD reported 103 active cases and 3,754 recoveries.
The Texas Education Agency requires public school districts throughout the state to submit a weekly report detailing the number of test-confirmed positive COVID-19 cases among students and employees who participate in any on-campus activity. This data does not include students learning remotely and may not include those who test positive while in quarantine if they were not on campus during their infectious period.

CFISD students and staff members who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are eligible for free rapid testing services at the site where Windfern High School was formerly located, 12630 Windfern Road, Houston, Mon.-Fri. from 7 a.m.-4 p.m.
A student ID or employee badge is required to receive one of these tests, and students under the age of 18 must have parent or guardian consent. Appointments are required for students only. See additional requirements here.
