Officials in Cy-Fair ISD reported 81 new confirmed COVID-19 cases during the ninth week of the school year, Nov. 2-8, including 26 staff members and 55 students across the district.

This brings the district’s total number of reported cases to 443 since the start of the school year Sept. 8. As of Nov. 9, the district reported 121 active cases and 322 recoveries.

About 61% of students enrolled in CFISD are attending in-person classes during the second grading period. This number is up from about 45% of students during the first grading period of 2020-21.

Cypress Falls High School had more cases confirmed than at any other campus in the district last week, with eight students and one employee testing positive, according to district data.
