H-E-B stores across Texas will begin operating under newly expanded hours starting April 27, according to a news release published to the company's website April 21.

Stores will be open from 7 a.m.-10 p.m., according to the release. Hours at Central Market locations will be expanded to 8 a.m.-10 p.m., and hours at Mi Tienda locations will be expanded to 7 a.m.-10 p.m.

The company announced in March it would reduce its hours of operation to 8 a.m.-8 p.m. in an effort to give employees more time to restock shelves. The new hours announced this week will be in place "until further notice," according to the April 21 release.

Officials also said they will be easing the limits put in place in March on how many products each customer can buy.

"With an improving supply chain and stronger product availability, our stores have the capacity to serve more customers throughout the day while providing the products they want at our everyday low prices," according to the company statement.

H-E-B staff will continue to follow cleaning and social distancing protocols that were put in place in March for the foreseeable future, according to the release. All employees in customer-facing roles will continue to be required to wear masks.

When the company reduced hours in March, officials also said bakery, deli and floral department service would be reduced at some stores. In the April 21, announcement, officials said those departments will start to open back up, but did not provide details.
