Less than a week after the Harris County Emergency Services District No. 9 board of commissioners voted March 19 to move forward with the previously scheduled May 2 election, the board—during an emergency meeting March 25—approved postponing the election to the general election date, Nov. 3.
The change comes on the first day of the “Stay Home-Work Safe” order issued by Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, which is effective March 25-April 3.
Voters residing within ESD No. 9 boundaries will see three commissioner candidates on the ballot in November: Bevin Gordon, William McDugle and incumbent David Langenberg.
