METRO authority seeks ideas from public on Houston transit expansion July 10
The METRO authority is holding meetings to hear the ideas and concerns of the public concerning ways to expand and improve the system in order to get direct guidance on how to continue. The first meeting takes place tonight, July 10, in the Berry Center. On the third annual Prime Day, Amazon shoppers can donate to several Cy-Fair organizations when making purchases through smile.amazon.com. Local groups include Reach Unlimited—a local nonprofit dedicated to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities—or Stageworks Theatre.
YMCA launches Operation Backpack July 11
The YMCA launches its school supplies and backpack drive July 11 with the goal of giving children the supplies they need before school starts next month. Donors are encouraged to buy backpacks and fill them with school supplies and drop them off at their local YMCA locations. Cy-Fair locations include the D.
