A Houston-area plastics production company hosted a groundbreaking event for its new 140,000-square-foot headquarters on Nov. 3. Officials with Drake Plastics, which was founded in 1996, are building a new facility located off Grant Road between Telge and Spring Cypress roads.

According to a news release, the project will feature “a largely rural architectural design” to fit in with the surrounding area, which is mostly residential neighborhoods.

"For over 25 years, Drake Plastics has been a vital part of the Greater Houston business community. We are proud to be reinvesting in our community with this new state-of-the-art $26 million, 40-acre property that will function as our new headquarters," President Steven Quance said in a news release.
