Cypress residents Becky and Mike Souther will take over ownership of Learning Express Toys & Gifts at 25704 Hwy. 290, Ste. H, Cypress, on Feb. 10. The store will remain open during the transition, and most of the existing staff will be staying on board, according to former owners Shannon and Roger Fritz.

“I have been a resident of Cypress for 19 years and have a deep connection with this community," Becky Souther said in a press release. "We are so excited to own and operate a family business right here in town.”

In addition to selling products for children ages 14 and younger, the store offers a birthday gift registry, free gift wrapping, free personalization, civic fundraising and regular children’s events.

To celebrate the new ownership, Learning Express Toys & Gifts will host an open house Feb. 29-March 1 with discounts, prizes and costumed characters.
