The owners of Nyam Nyam Cafe announced Nov. 1 that they plan to reopen their restaurant, located at 15201 Mason Road, Cypress, on Nov. 2. The announcement, made via Facebook post, came after owners initially closed the restaurant Oct. 27 after more than five years of business in the Fairfield area.

In announcing plans to reopen, owners cited a combination of community support and willingness from their landlord to work out a deal on a lease renewal.

"We are still working out all of the legalities that surround this and look forward to giving everyone continued updates as we progress," owners said in the Facebook post. "Until then, thank you for your patronage and devotion to being our customers. We are so excited to be serving you again."

The eatery specializes in eastern European food, including pirozhki—stuffed Russian hot buns—and Ukrainian borscht, a hearty soup made with cabbage, beets and prime rib. The menu also includes a variety of sweet and savory crepes. 832-653-5900. www.nyamnyamcafe.com
