The mango lassi from Annam Indian Bistro is a traditional, sweet and creamy Indian drink made with yogurt, churned milk, fresh pieces of mango and honey. The drink is traditionally served chilled.

Stefi Mariadson, a hostess at the restaurant, said the lassi is a popular drink among customers. The drink is also available in two other flavors—sweet and salt—she said. Each flavor is sold for $2.99.

“Customers, most of the time, choose the mango flavor,” she said. “Some people like sweet, but most people order the mango.”

The food menu at Annam, which opened near Barker Cypress Road last year, features a variety of Indian cuisine. Menu items include dosas, samosas and biryani as well as vegetarian options, such as channa marsala and vada curry. The eatery also serves coffee and tea, including Indian chai.
