Cake Fine Pastry offers homemade pies for the holiday season

Handmade with fresh pecans, real molasses and bourbon, the Texas Pecan Pie at Cake Fine Pastry is sure to be a hit for the holiday season, owner Liz Hale said.

Primarily a custom cake shop, Cake Fine Pastry bakers have rolled out a lineup of traditional pie flavors, including pumpkin, apple and cherry, in time for family gatherings. The 9-inch pies range from about $17-$20.

The shop also sells grab-and-go items, such as cookies, macarons, cake slices, cupcake jars, push-pop cupcakes, mini key lime pies and Belgian chocolate-covered cheesecake and Oreos.

Having been heavily involved in the community since opening the shop about two years ago, Hale said she hopes to eventually open a second location in the Cypress area.

“We’re one of the most unique bakeries in Houston, and we want to make people feel like it’s an experience to come here,” she said. “We’re a family business, but we’re not just a mom and pop shop. We’re trying to grow.”
