Steamed milk and traditional fall-inspired flavors make up special seasonal menu items like the caramel apple cappuccino at 7-year-old Crescent Moon Coffee Bar & Cafe.
The specialty cappuccino can be made with 2 percent, almond or soy milk and comes in three sizes—a 12-ounce cup ($3.45), a 16-ounce cup ($3.95) and a 20-ounce cup ($4.45). Other fall flavors include pumpkin spice, gingerbread, salted caramel, cinnamon and butter pecan.
Owner Linda Gandin said she makes everything as local and organic as possible, serving Houston-based Katz Coffee and pastries from Kraftsmen Cafe in The Heights.
“When a customer comes in, they can design their own drinks,” she said. “It’s very laid-back—people can sit down and relax with friends or connect with other people.”
The shop also hosts private parties and has specialty breakfast bars on Sundays.
