Pizza Cucinova at Lakeland Village Center, 10615 Fry Road, Ste. 100, Cypress, is now open and will celebrate a grand opening Aug. 3 with the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce. The restaurant specializes in artisan Neapolitan-style pizzas, hand-tossed salads and Italian-inspired pastas. Steve and Lulu Nguyen have opened Gossip & Co. Nail Spa and will celebrate an Aug. 13 grand opening at 12603 Louetta Road, Ste. 100, Cypress. The two-story mansion features 2,000 nail colors, 70 pedicure chairs and spaces dedicated to children and men.

A new location of Karma Kolache at 11131 N. Eldridge Parkway, Ste. 400, Houston, has scheduled a grand opening for Aug. 19, including giveaways and specials on doughnuts and gourmet kolaches. The original location is at 17415 FM 529, Houston. 281-890-6388.

Officials with Bush’s Chicken plan to open a new location at 29331 FM 529, Cypress, on Aug. 7. The eatery offers individual and family meals, chicken tenders, rolls, livers, corn-on-the-cob, green beans, okra, macaroni and cheese, corn nuggets and french fries.

Gourmand Kitchen is expected to open later this summer at 9818 Fry Road, Ste. 130, Cypress. The healthy, fast-casual dining concept will serve fresh, locally produced farm-to-table juice, ribs, burgers and other American cuisines with a healthy twist. The restaurant is being designed with an open-air format, allowing diners, staff and cooks to interact.

Florida-based ice cream chain Twistee Treat is expected to open in mid-August at 9720 Jones Road, Houston. Known for its cone-shaped buildings, the establishment offers more than 20 flavors of cones, cups, shakes, malts, slushes, sundaes and twirls—ice cream with candy blended in. Twistee Treat has three other Houston locations, but this will be the first for Cy-Fair.
