Harris County Emergency Services District 11 officials have named an interim CEO after former CEO Jamie Chebra was terminated "for cause" April 22, Public Information Officer Miranda Sevcik confirmed in an email.

During a special-called meeting April 21, commissioners approved placing Chebra on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.

“Because this is a personnel matter, the district is unable by law to share any additional details,” Sevcik said in a statement.
