Saffron Indian Kitchen opened March 6 at 8045 N. Sam Houston Parkway W., Ste. 400, Houston. The restaurant is part of a group of family restaurants owned by Najjar Singh, his daughter Sharan Kaur and his son Shawn Singh. The family has been in the restaurant industry for 30 years.

Saffron Indian Kitchen was created to offer authentic Indian flavors and a mixture of modern social dining. The business also offers a community weekday lunch buffet and has daily happy hour specials from 3-6 p.m. featuring discounted pricing on draft beers and select appetizers.

“I have been in the industry for about 10 years, but my father is still the face of the business. My brother Shawn and I grew up working in the family's restaurants,” Kaur said.

Hours of operation are from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
