Dance Central is located at 15813 Jarvis Road, Cypress, and was formed in 2003 by owner Danielle Shoaf, who said her vision was to create a place where dancers could learn, grow and build confidence in their dance skills, according to the website.
Shoaf has a long career in the arts following the completion of her bachelor's degree in dance management, including working in public relations for the Houston Ballet and teaching dance at area studios prior to opening Dance Central.
Classes are available for students ranging in age from prekindergarten through high school in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, yoga and cardio. Summer camps are also underway.
