Based in California, the fast-food chain is known for its burgers, fries, shakes and its “not so secret menu.” This special menu features options such as the “animal style” burger, which has a mustard-fried beef patty, pickles, extra sauce and grilled onions in addition to the traditional lettuce and tomato toppings.
The 3,887-square-foot building will include a drive-thru, according to Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation documents. Construction of the new In-N-Out could take less than a year, but Mike Abbate, assistant vice president of real estate and development, could not confirm an opening date.
“Once we break ground on a new location, it typically takes us 8 to 9 months to build the restaurant and open for business. Because of the amount of construction that still needs to take place, it isn't yet possible to nail down a precise opening date,” he said in an email.
In-N-Out was founded in 1948 and came to Texas in 2011. Other Houston-area locations are in Katy, Stafford, The Woodlands and the Willowbrook area. www.in-n-out.com
