As the April 22-30 early voting period approaches, multiple candidate forums are scheduled in Montgomery, scheduled to be moderated by
Community Impact Newspaper General Manager Julie Cannon and featuring candidates running for Montgomery City Council and the Montgomery ISD board of trustees. Election day is May 4.
Montgomery City Council
The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with the Voter Awareness Council to host a candidate forum for City Council on April 16 from 6:30-8 p.m. All candidates have been invited.
Candidates in contested races are running for Place 3—incumbent T.J. Wilkerson and candidate Nick Haddad—as well as Place 5—incumbent Thomas Cronin and David Brown.
The forum is slated to take place at Montgomery City Hall, 101 Old Plantersville Road, Montgomery.

Montgomery ISD board of trustees
The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce is collaborating with the Voter Awareness Council to host a candidate forum for the MISD board of trustees April 18 from 6:30-8 p.m. All candidates have been invited.
Candidates in contested races are running for Place 6—Matt Fuller, Larry Hereford and Kent Pope—have been invited to the forum, along with Place 7 candidates Gary Hammons and Russell Messecar.
The forum is slated to take place at Lake Creek High School, 20639 FM 2854, Montgomery.
