The project has been underway by Aranda Brothers Construction since July 2018 and is anticipated to wrap up in the first quarter of 2023, according to project information from TxDOT.

2. A similar project on Hwy. 242 between east of FM 1314 and west of FM 1485 is 33% complete as of an Oct. 1 update from TxDOT, the latest available. The project constructs a grade separation and widens the highway. It is underway by James Construction Group.
