I-45 across the San Jacinto River is expected to be closed from Feb.18-19, per Montgomery County and local officials (Nathan Colbert/Community Impact Newspaper)

Drivers using I-45 southbound are advised to avoid the main lanes from Feb. 18-19, according to Montgomery County and local officials.

County Judge Mark Keough posted to his Facebook page that the Texas Department of Transportation will be repairing the bridge over the San Jacinto River.

The Conroe Police Department said on Twitter that the closure will begin at 7 p.m. on Feb. 18 and could last 28 hours. Drivers are advised to find alternate routes.
