FM 1097 expansion suspended temporarily


Work has been suspended due to utilities and right-of-way hangups on a project to widen FM 1097 from a two- to a four-lane road with a continuous left turn lane from Hwy. 45 to Anderson Road in Willis.

Timeline: Oct. 15, 2019-fall 2020
Cost: $1.49 million
Funding sources: Texas Department of Transportation, federal

Originally from Boone, North Carolina, Andy Li is a graduate of East Carolina University with degrees in Communication with a concentration in journalism and Political Science.
