Home sales see decline in August in Conroe, Montgomery area

Home sales saw a decline year over year in August in the Conroe and Montgomery area, decreasing by 2.4%, according to market data provided by local real estate firm The Spencer Team.

Home sales declined in six of the eight ZIP codes in Conroe and Montgomery, with total home sales decreasing 2.4% year over year in August. The ZIP codes 77301 and 77302 were the only ones to see increases in home sales year over year.

In five of the eight Conroe and Montgomery-area ZIP codes, the median home price saw a decrease year over year in August. 77306 saw the largest decrease of 23.04%—going from $220,820 to $169,950.

Of the homes that sold in July in Conroe and Montgomery, 54% of them were priced between $250,000-$499,999.
