Isaiah 117 House, a nonprofit organization that cares for children awaiting foster placement, opened a house that serves Montgomery and Walker counties, according to a Jan. 7 news release.

“We are so grateful to this community for their support and for helping to make this dream become a reality for Montgomery and Walker County,” Ronda Paulson, founder and executive director of Isaiah 117 House, said via news release. “This house will change the way foster care begins in Montgomery and Walker County.”

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Jan. 26 to celebrate the house’s opening.
