God's Garage is a nonprofit ministry that provides reliable transportation to single mothers, widows and wives of deployed military in need. Located on the same lot in Conroe, 2100 E. Davis St., the nonprofit cut the ribbon on a new 9,800-square-foot multipurpose garage and ministry facility Feb. 18. According to Executive Director, Justin Coggins the new location will increase the ministry's capabilities.

“Having this new facility gives us the ability to repair more vehicles and gift more vehicles,” he said. “Having this facility, we are able to meet needs quicker and give more cars away. Our mission is the same; it just opens up the capacity to be able to give away 500 cars in a year and have more women attend our seminars because we have more space. Everything will be the same as far as what we do, just on a much larger scale.”

Coggins said the nonprofit's mission is to brings reliability to the lives of the women who need it.

“With a vehicle, they are able to have consistency in their lives,” he said. “They can get a job, take their kids to school, go to doctor's appointments and grocery runs. It helps overall morale by giving that independence back.”
