To address congestion from nearby school traffic at Conroe High School, as well as anticipation of possible multifamily housing projects in the area, the city of Conroe will expand Wilson Road from two to four lanes. The city will also make curb and gutter improvements, replace wire traffic signals with mast-arm traffic signals and build additional sidewalks and street lights. The project will start early this year.
