  1. FM 1097 widening

The Texas Department of Transportation’s expansion of FM 1097 between I-45 and Hwy. 75 includes a continuous left-turn lane and is 48 percent completed. The project is slated to receive additional work, and it has been delayed until 2018.

2. FM 149 widening

TxDOT will start a project to widen FM 149 in Montgomery by the end of the year. The project will add a center left-turn lane between FM 1097 and Hwy. 105.

3. FM 149 repairs

TxDOT approved a contract with Smith Company to repair FM 149 between the south Montgomery city limits and Keenan Cut Off Road.

4. FM 3083 expansion

The project to widen FM 3083 from two to four lanes from just east of Hwy. 75 to west of FM 1484. The project includes a bridge over the Union Pacific Corp. railroad tracks and a left-turn lane, and has reached 46 percent completion.

5. Lone Star Parkway improvements

Montgomery County Precinct 1 is repairing the surface of Lone Star Parkway between FM 149 and Hwy. 105. The project includes adding a left-turn lane, and removing medians containing trees for safety purposes. A portion of the roadway between Hwy. 105 and Buffalo Springs was opened Oct. 13, and the remaining portion of the roadway is expected to take about a month to complete.

6. M.P. Clark Road extension

The city of Conroe is building M.P. Clark Road  between League Line Road and FM 830. The city awarded the contract for the project to Triple B Services, and construction started April 14.

7. A project will expand McCaleb Road from two to four lanes from Hwy. 105 to the overpass bridge of the BNSF Railway tracks along FM 2854. The project includes the construction of a median. Timeline: TBA

8.  A $3.3 million project to landscape I-45 from I-10 in Harris County through Montgomery County has reached 73 percent completion. Timeline: March 2016-TBA

9.  A $20.2 million project to expand FM 2854 from two to four lanes between I-45 and South Loop 336 West has reached the design stage and will go out for bid in spring 2018. Timeline: TBA 2018

10. Conroe is considering bids for bus operators for a recently completed park and ride on FM 2854 under the I-45 overpass. Bus services will begin early 2018. Timeline: Early 2018
