Montgomery City Council voted to move forward with city infrastructure improvement projects during its Jan. 14 meeting.

What you need to know

The projects approved by City Council include the College Street drainage improvement project and Water Plant No. 3’s booster pump addition.

Both the drainage improvement project and the booster pump additions are funded from the city’s remaining American Rescue Plan Act funds. The projects total an estimated $250,000 to $337,000 for the College Street project and $125,000 for Water Plant No. 3, according to prior reporting.

The College Street project includes replacing three 18-inch concrete culverts and a portion of the roadway, which has deteriorated over time, according to the Jan. 14 agenda.

Meanwhile, Water Plant No. 3 will gain its fourth booster pump which will increase the city’s water capacity at the plant, according to agenda.
