Over the past five years, the population within the boundaries of Conroe, Montgomery and Willis ISDs increased, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates.

The U.S. Census Bureau released 2023 data on Dec. 12, which shows an increase in population throughout the Conroe and Montgomery areas. WISD saw the most growth with a 22.7% increase, going from 40,291 to 49,444, while CISD and MISD followed behind—growing to 53,753 and 6,318, respectively.

The median age within CISD’s boundary remained the same from 2018 to 2023, according to ACS data.

Meanwhile, within both MISD and WISD boundaries, there was an increase in median age. WISD’s median age increased from 38.4 to 42, and MISD’s median age increased from 44.1 to 44.6.
